Erika Cardigan - purchased the yarn at the Blue Purl during the NJ Wool Walk in 2014. Found the pattern on Ravelry.

Inara Wrap - Pattern is by Ambah O'Brien (from Ravelry), and yarn is by Marianated Yarns. Two gradient kits are required for this pattern. I did use all 6 colors of each kit.

Soulinen Cowl - Pattern is by Ysolda Teague, and yarn is Ancient Arts Fiber Big Squeeze. The pattern is from one of Ysolda's ebooks called Knitworthy 2 (fabulous designs available on Ravelry). The yarn was purchased online from Mont Tricot in Sutton Quebec. I LOVE this yarn, and is not widely available in the U.S.

Zombie Killer Slouch - The hat is by Luciana Young, from the 2017 Pattern a Day Desk Calendar, . The yarn is Malabrigo Mecha. I received a skein for the holidays from my mother-in-law, and was lucky enough to pick up another one from The Yarn Attic (not the same dye lot, but very close).

2 X 2 Cowl -  The pattern is from Tincanknits, and found it on Ravelry. Purchased the yarn online from Mont Tricot in Quebec. It's Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts Big Squeeze, which is hard to find in the States (it's a Canadian made yarn). The colorway is Grand Canyon.

Infinate Order Mobius  - Pattern is from Feederbrook Farm, as is the yarn. It's Entrophy Worsted, and was purchased at Vogue Knitting Live NY in 2016. The yarn was sold in kit-like form, with 2 skeins: 1 skein was solid in Walnut, and the other was a tweed in Flashpoint.

Traveling Companion Shawl - I saw this yarn at TNNA in 2016, and purchased a bundle of it to try it out. The yarn is from Round Mountain Fibers, whcih specializes in dying yarn according to the colors of birds. This was a Kestral bundle. It came with a variegated yarn, and several matching solids. The pattern was found on Ravelry, and it's by Karen Strauss. It was the pattern Round Mountain used for a sample at TNNA.

Manistique Scarf - This was a kit I purchased at TNNA in 2016 from RYN yarns (now Beet Street yarns). The yarn is from Loom - Risotto (a nubby thick and thin) and Speck. Both are 100% silk. They were both difficult to work with, but I finally got the scarf done!

Reverse Psychology - The yarn is from Wolle's Yarn Creations, and I originally saw it on Etsy. It's a 100% cotton color changing yarn, made up of 4 strands that gradually transition from 1 color to the next. A friend purchased it for me at Maryland Sheep & Wool in 2017, and then I found the pattern on Ravelry. The pattern is by Mindy Ross.

Washington Square Mosaic Cowl - This cowl pattern is from the Malabrigo Book Eleven:Aniversario celebrating their 10th anniversary in business. Yarn is Mecha Mostazo (had left overs from the Zombie Slouch hat, then I had to buy another skein of course), and Volcan. Purchased from The Yarn Attic.

Your Princess is in another Castle (cowl)  - I bought some Anzula Burly at TNNA 2017, which is a new bulky yarn from them. Barbara Benson also had a booth at TNNA, highlighting her designs from her new Mosaic & Lace book (which I had purchased earlier in the year). This pattern is in the book, and uses a bulky yarn; so, voila! Decided to make this up. A fun knit!

October 2016 - December 2016 Completed Projects

Zoe 3-in-1 dress - I made this in 2014 for my great-niece, and it still fits! Made from Dancing Leaf Farms Bee Bop, and the pattern is by Suzanne Williams. Saw it at Rhinebeck NYS Sheep & Wool, and just had to make it.

Effortless Cardigan - Indiecita Alpaca (Michell yarns) yarn purchased in Lima Peru, while on vacation. Used Malabrigo Lace to add more heft to the fabric. Pattern is by Hannah Fettig (KnitBot), and is top down construction.

Swedish Gradient Hat - A repeat of the hat I made in August, using the remainder of the Schoppel Gradient yarn and a different contrasting color (Malabrigo Merino in a dark blue). Yarn was purchased from The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ.

Plymouth Cable Brioche Cowl - Using Gina yarn (originally intended for another cowl), and Shibui Merino Alpaca (discontinued). The pattern is free on Ravelry. Yarn is from my stash.

Mermaid Tail Blankets - Ella Rae Cozy Soft solids & prints. The blue one was made with a solid Cascade 220 Superwash, held together with an Ella Rae Cozy Soft print. The pink one was made with two strands of the Ella Rae (solid and print) held together. The tails were 2 Ella Rae solids held together. Pattern is Mermaid Tale Lap blanket by Angie Hartley, available on Ravelry. Ella Rae yarn is from The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ. The Cascade 220 Superwash was from my stash. Gifts for two of my great-nieces.

Hestor Brioche Cowl (reprise) - Another version of the Hestor Cowl (Lori Versaci, available on Ravelry) made while teaching a Brioche workshop. Yarn is from Molly Girl (Rockstar). This was a holiday gift for my mother-in-law. Have another set of Molly Girl yarn to make one for me! All yarn purchased from The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ.

Lila Cowl - This was a kit I purchased during the NJ Wool Walk in 2016 from The Blue Purl in Madison, NJ.  This is a Lux Adorna Knits Fun Size Bundle in sport weight, and the bundle included the pattern. However, I changed the pattern a bit, since I found the one included in the kit, as well as the one available on Ravelry, to have some inconsistencies. If you want to see the pattern changes I used, go to my Ravelry project page, and look for the Lila Cowl (my id is feltingsam).

Yarnimal Scarves - From Plymouth Design Studios. The kits are complete with pattern, and animal parts! Purchased from the Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ. Made them for my great-niece and great-nephew for the holidays.

Poinsettia - This was  the Dream Club kit from 2013 -  Poinsietta fingerless mitts and headband. However, I was able to get an additional skein of the yarn and turn the headband into a hat. Added the racoon pom -pom. All supplies purchased from The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ. Was a holiday gift for my sister-in-law.

Barley hat - Hat pattern is by TinCan Knits, available on Ravelry (free download). Yarn is Berroco Vintage, from my stash (leftover from another project). Was a holiday gift for a great-nephew.

Seed Banded Slouch hat - pattern is a free one from Lion Brand. Yarn is Tosh Vintage in Whiskey Barrel. The hat was a sample at The Yarn Attic, where I purchased the yarn. Was a holiday gift for a great-nephew.

Windschief hat II - Second time I made this hat. The first was for my husband; this one was for my brother. Pattern is by Stephen West. Yarn is Madeline Tosh Vintage in El Greco, purchase at The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ.

Wheat Scarf - Pattern is from TinCan Knits (on Ravelry). Yarn is from Good Karma Farm (60/40 Wool/Alpaca Worsted Weight), purchased at NYS Sheep and Wool a few years ago. The scarf was a holiday gift for my father-in-law.

Two x Two cowl - Pattern is from Tincan Knits (from Ravelry), using Ancient Arts Fiber's Big Squeeze (purchased online from Mont Tricot in Sutton Quebec). Buttons were from my stash (ceramic "cow" buttons).

Building Blocks Shawl - KAL from Stephen West on Ravelry. Yarns used include Anzula Ava, Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter Mini Skein pack, Madeline Tosh Sport in Modern Fair Isle (left over from another Stephen West project - Askew Me shawl). The Anzula and Mad Hatter yarns were purchased from The Yarn Attic in Hillsborough NJ.
